Vanessa Gonnot (“Oktopuss”). July–December 2008; exact publication day unverified. pp. Asclep-Hoya No. 3, printed/PDF pages 14–15.
Vanessa Gonnot (“Oktopuss”) describes a visit to Paul Shirley’s nursery in Boskoop. The article appeared in Asclep-Hoya No. 3, dated July–December 2008. The narrative specifies 1 May but does not state the visit year.
Her report says Shirley first encountered a Hoya, described as Hoya lacunosa, during the 1990s. It also attributes GPS-numbered cuttings to a 1994 collecting trip to Sulawesi. These are reported historical statements: the article supplies no individual accession numbers, vouchers or distribution records to verify a particular plant’s history.
The complete two-page account has been factually extracted. Nursery temperatures, fertilizer use and pest-treatment anecdotes remain attributed grower testimony, with no general care recommendation adopted. The original photographs have not been reproduced.
Existing 35-page original reused; complete article pages 14–15 factually extracted; this record covers that article only
How do we know this?
Hoya Library separates a source from the claims made from it. Citation details identify the publication; linked findings and treatments show how it is being used; archive notes state what has actually been checked. Corrections and stronger evidence can therefore be added without hiding earlier interpretations.
If you have a clearer scan, a missing page, or a correction to this citation, please share the source details and page reference with Hoya Library.
