How the Library handles rights and attribution

Dale Kloppenburg, The World of Hoyas: A Pictorial Guide, Volume II file. Publication identity and the literal statement “First addition published fall 1999” are carried from Volume I.

What this file contains

This 42-page file contains 21 illustrated taxon treatments spanning printed pages 35–76, from Hoya albiflora through Hoya crassicaulis. Every page and facing illustration was reviewed.

Habitat evidence

Six source-bounded Places and seven Habitats were added: two distinct Mt. Bulusan collection habitats, Rona–Laloki River lowland rainforest, Deaf Adder Gorge dry sandstone escarpment, Central Luzon tropical-forest branch and limb habitat, Malay Peninsula lowland forest and limestone hills, and western Borneo coastal primary forest.

Other habitat passages remain observations because they are broad regional summaries, lack a sufficiently bounded locality, or mix wild context with cultivation advice.

Limits and uncertainty

Historical spellings, commercial-plant identity questions and source-era abundance statements remain explicit. The reported once-in-five-years rainfall at Deaf Adder Gorge is anecdotal, not a climate record. Watering, humidity, temperature, potting, limestone and light advice is not treated as controlled evidence or a universal care prescription.

Rights and sequence

No book image is republished because the file does not establish public-reuse permission. Volumes I and II are complete; Volume III is next in the sequential extraction queue.
