What this source documents
The patent describes Krinkle 8 Variegata as a mutation appearing on a Krinkle 8 plant. It reports stem-cutting propagation and distinguishes the new selection through predominantly variegated leaf blades and petiole colours. This supplies a historical comparison with green Krinkle 8.
Reading the evidence
The two names identify different material in the patent. Their reported relationship does not authenticate every modern plant carrying either label. Measurements and nursery conditions describe the examined specimens; they are not a controlled care experiment.
Source locations
Printed columns 1–2 / filed Original PDF page 4 for origin and comparison; full specification columns 1–8 / PDF pages 4–7. The three photographic sheets on PDF pages 1–3 are shown as complete historical facsimiles on the Krinkle 8 Variegata profile, with source-specific credits and reuse limits.
