Citation
Ton v.d.Hoorn (quoted letter); Ruurd van Donkelaar (editorial account). January 1986. pp. Imprint / physical PDFp.2; Hoya post, printed / PDFpp.30–31.
The Hoya post column presents Ton van der Hoorn’s account of selecting an unusual shoot from a Compacta bought in early 1982. It describes curled, dark foliage and lilac-purple flowers, and associates the name with plant judging at Aalsmeer.
Locator: January 1986 issue; printed pages 30–31. The originator’s quoted account and the surrounding editorial observations remain distinct. This is the publication to which the registrar attributes establishment of Compacta Purple Leaf.
Scope: The full issue is preserved; this extraction covers the imprint and relevant Hoya post passages only. Generic care remarks and the drawing labelled merely a Compacta form do not establish cultivar-specific care or an exact photograph. IPPS copyright retained; no source imagery or full translation reproduced.
