The 1846 account describes a green-and-white variegated Hoya under the printed name Hoya variegata Sieb. It reports exhibition at Ghent in March 1845 and states that the flowers were unknown.

The account mentions Hoya carnosa separately. It does not establish a propagation chain to a modern cultivar. Printed attribution, the cited de Vriese manuscript, later nomenclatural interpretation and contemporary plant identity remain separate questions. No plate is reproduced.

Evidence scope and limits

Original and extraction filed under 02 Primary Sources/Journals. Bounded article and plate checked; the surrounding annual volume is outside this source projection. Modern clone identity and original authorship interpretation remain unresolved.
