The Hoya cultivar registrar accepts Holliana and dates establishment of the name to Christine M. Burton’s 2002 account in The Hoyan. It treats Divan as a synonym in its naming assessment.

The account later credits Chuck Ebersole as originator and Jodie Shumaker as registrant and introducer. It distinguishes those later details from the original publication and leaves much of the selection history unresolved. This naming account does not authenticate every living plant bearing either label.
