A source-scoped lowland heath or padang habitat behind Belitung beaches, reported from lowlands to 100 m. Hoya coronaria and H. imperialis were recorded in surveyed examples.
Environment and variation
The paper describes white sand with moss and thick humus, locally open conditions and noon heat, with Melaleuca leucadendron, Vaccinium, Rhodomyrtus tomentosa and Nepenthes gracilis. Hoya coronaria was also described on the forest floor; the article’s “saprophyte” label is preserved as wording, not accepted as evidence of saprotrophic nutrition.

What we still do not know
Methods and Table 1 total seven heath locations, while narrative says six and names Limau Manis, absent from the table and map. No plant-level light, temperature or moisture measurements are supplied.
Research and evidence
Rahayu, Fakhrurrozi & Putra (2018), Biodiversitas 19(2):369–376. Source-specific habitat evidence does not establish a cultivation prescription.
Climate summaries describe their stated place, period, and method. They do not measure every plant’s microclimate. Maps are withheld until coordinate precision and sensitivity have been reviewed.
