Rachel Colette Conroy. HoyaCultivars.org. 2024-03-24; revised date displayed 2024-07-08. pp. Full Name; Synonyms; Trade Designations; Name Background.
The Hoya cultivar registrar’s account of Hoya carnosa ‘Tricolor’ discusses the cultivar name, its spelling variants and the trade designation KRIMSON QUEEN.
Scope: The Full Name, Synonyms, Trade Designations and Name Background fields were captured on 27 October 2026. The account connects the name’s establishment in the 1972 Rubra patent with the fuller plant description in the 1969 patent. These are attributed naming interpretations; they do not identify an unprovenanced living plant.
The source’s linked images, cited 1977 articles and 1968 newspaper report have not been independently examined for this extraction. No source image is reproduced here, and current trademark status is not determined.
Downloaded HTML and a three-field extraction archived; linked images and cited publications are outside the extracted scope.
