Hoya of Papuasia, Part II continues the regional taxonomic work of Michele Rodda and Nadhanielle Simonsson. Published online on 10 November 2022 in Blumea 67(2): 139–155, it follows their 2017 Part I.
What the paper contributes
The authors publish eight new species and one new subspecies from New Guinea. They also provide a full description and illustrations of Hoya leucantha and designate its lectotype. That treatment concerns an existing name, rather than another new species.
The study combines herbarium material with more recent collections and observations. Its taxonomic and conservation conclusions remain dated findings to compare with later evidence.
