A 2010 habitat study sampled 48 Hoya multiflora plants across six Bodogol sites. A separate 2010 park survey documented a population at 765–872 m. A 2011 habitat survey reported the Bodogol population at 700–900 m while sampling 25 vegetation plots. These are source-specific survey results; the studies may overlap and neither range defines the species’ full distribution. A separate 2019 survey detected H. multiflora only in its sampled 700–800 m and 800–900 m bands; its altitude and terrain tables give different totals (35 and 33), so these are kept as separate reported counts. A July–August 2016 field survey, published in 2019, counted 224 H. multiflora in 28 sampled plots and detected the species at seven of eleven Bodogol study sites, at a reported 728–876 m. A 2012 park inventory also described H. multiflora on Bodogol ridges at 700–900 m; its observations may overlap earlier work and are not another population count.
Geography
Named research station in Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, West Java, Indonesia. The 2010 morphology study sampled three subpopulations at six sites; a separate four-station survey reported a Bodogol occurrence at 765–872 m. The 2011 habitat paper surveyed 25 vegetation plots in June–November 2009 and reported a Bodogol population at 700–900 m. The 2011 plots must not be counted as 25 plant occurrences or assumed independent of the six site profiles. A separate 2019 eleven-route survey found H. multiflora in sampled 700–900 m bands; the survey's altitude and terrain tables disagree on the species total (35 versus 33). A separate July–August 2016 survey used 28 plots at eleven Bodogol sites, detecting H. multiflora at seven sites and reporting 728–876 m for that sample. No exact point is shown.
Climate
Regional station context only: Rahayu et al. (2010) report Citeko BMKG station means for 2004–2008 of 21.09 °C air temperature and 83.21% relative humidity. These are not readings at the sampled Hoya plants or their root zones. Rainfall is withheld because the paper’s five-year unit is inconsistent. In a separate 2019 eleven-route Bodogol survey, daytime measurements (09:00–13:00) pooled across Hoya taxa were reported for the 700–800 m band as 22.7–29.1 °C, 67.5–88.4% relative humidity, 3.80–16.16% canopy cover, 95–2048 lux and 0–2.8 km/h wind, and for the 800–900 m band as 25.1–27.7 °C, 71.8–87.2% relative humidity, 7.53–12.01% canopy cover, 212–1163 lux and 0–0.3 km/h wind. These are survey-band readings across Hoya species, not measurements at each H. multiflora plant or cultivation targets. In the 2016 population survey, Long Track site means were 26.8 °C air temperature, 72.15% relative humidity, 64.2% soil moisture and 1182.7 lux; Cipadaranten 2 site means were 25.3 °C, 81.8%, 69% and 723.7 lux. These are mixed-Hoya site summaries. The paper does not state the readings' time, instruments, replication or pairing to individual H. multiflora plants.

Collection history
The 2010 study reports 48 sampled plants; cuttings were retained in a living collection at Bogor Agricultural University. It does not establish a historical range for the whole species.
What we still do not know
Precise plant locations, plant-level host trees and microclimate, and the relationship among the 2010 and 2011 sampling units remain unresolved. The 2011 article’s table and slope narrative require reconciliation, as do its Citeko station period and reported means. The original 2011 PDF bytes and underlying station series are not held. No site coordinate or map point is released. The 2019 survey's altitude table totals 35 H. multiflora, while its terrain table totals 33; the discrepancy is unresolved. Its phorophyte counts and daytime band measurements are pooled across taxa and cannot be assigned to individual H. multiflora plants. The 2016 survey's 224 sampled plants and earlier site counts are not a comparable longitudinal census; the suggested population decline is unverified. Its 0.661 dispersion index pools six Hoya species, and overlap with the other 2019 Bodogol survey's plots is unverified. The 2012 park inventory gives no field dates or individual counts; its Bodogol observations may overlap the 2010 and 2011 reports.

Climate summaries describe their stated place, period, and method. They do not measure every plant’s microclimate. Maps are withheld until coordinate precision and sensitivity have been reviewed.
