A 2015–2017 field survey purposively explored 16 locations on Belitung and nearby Ru and Seliu islands. Five Hoya species were reported across heath forest, beach, fruit-tree agroforest and mixed forest. The survey documents named locations rather than complete island-wide distribution.
Geography
Belitung Island, Bangka Belitung Islands, Indonesia, including nearby Ru and Seliu islands. Table 1 reports locality elevations from about 1 to 200 m. The paper supplies no coordinates, so no occurrence points are inferred.
Climate
The detailed habitat section reports heath averages of 28.3 °C and 72.8% relative humidity, and mixed-forest context of about 205 mm rainfall per month, 27 °C and 77.5% relative humidity. The abstract attributes the latter set to padang. No station, period, instrument or replication is given. These are contextual summaries, not plant measurements or cultivation targets.

Collection history
The authors collected herbarium vouchers and living material for Bogor Botanic Gardens during fieldwork in May 2015, June 2016 and November 2017. The article does not provide voucher numbers by Table 1 locality.
What we still do not know
No coordinates, standardized effort, detection probability, habitat-availability analysis or plant-level microclimate series are supplied. Heath locality counts, the Seliu population class and climate attribution conflict within the article. Ant co-occurrence and author preference statements are not treated as causal ecological mechanisms.

Climate summaries describe their stated place, period, and method. They do not measure every plant’s microclimate. Maps are withheld until coordinate precision and sensitivity have been reviewed.
